Nesse Godin, was presented the Naitonal Commander's Public Relations Award for her continuing efforts to inform all citizens about the horrors inflicted on her generation, and to encourage us all to take action to prevent it from happening again. The award was presented at the Washington Conference on March 23rd, 2011.

 Holocaust survivor and educator Nesse Godin was named the 2015 American Legion Auxiliary Woman of the Year for her tireless efforts in educating our youth of the lessons learned through the Holocaust, why we should be proud Americans, and to always love and care for one another.

Nesse Godin spoke for about 90 minutes to soldiers and guests at Fort Campbell's Wilson Theater. Thursday's address was in recognition of Fort Campbell's "Days of Remembrance."

A rally was held on the National Mall before the U.S. Capitol to raise public awareness of genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan and to put public pressure on the administration to take action.
